Inaugural RCFW Advisors' Meeting, 19 March 2021
We were honoured to have our Advisors Dato’ Lim Jock Hoi, Secretary-General, ASEAN, Ms Chihoko Asada-Miyakawa, Regional Director for Asia and the Pacific, International Labour Organization (ILO), His Excellency Heng Sour, Secretary of State, Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training and Member of Supreme National Economic Council, Cambodia, Dr Park Doo Yong, President of the Korea Occupational Safety and Health Agency (KOSHA) and Ms Mary Liew, Deputy Member of the Workers’ Group of the ILO’s Governing Body to join us at the inaugural meeting of RCFW Advisors on 19 March 2021.
Mrs Josephine Teo, Minister for Manpower chaired the virtual meeting with the Advisors. The Advisors shared insights on the emerging challenges and opportunities in preparing ASEAN for a post-pandemic Future of Work. They agreed that tripartite collaboration is needed more than ever to address the impact of COVID-19 and emerge stronger as a region.
We thank our Advisors for their valuable input on the key areas of focus and best practices which will guide our Regional Centre’s strategic directions and upcoming capacity building activities for the year.
